A 10 YearWarranty comes FREE with every JCM saddle sold in the US after Jan 2011. This warranty covers your saddle against any unexpected or abnormal breakage under normal use. We will either repair at our cost, or exchange the saddle for  something similar. Please note that this warranty is being offered solely at the discretion of JC Martin Saddle Co. and we will not be held liable for any repairs, etc we have deemed not covered under our warranty.

Warranty Rules

Q. What is covered? what is not? maintenance...

A. All major components of the saddle are covered except for decorative or small items that can wear with use (Conchos, strings). Major components would be a tree, fender, horn, cantle, skirts,  flat plate etc.  Small or minor repairs are not covered, e.g. a little thread coming loose, or oiling the hide, this warranty is based on the assumption that the saddle is always to be kept clean, and be stored in a non-humid non-extreme weather conditions. It is the owners responsibility to properly oil (not over oil) the saddle, and maintain a general upkeep of the saddle. If our experts determine the damage was caused because of rot due to being wet or the hide shows signs of abuse due to negligent maintenance, then we will refuse any repairs. We will refuse warranty on any saddle that has not been maintained...PERIOD.

Q. What is normal use?

A. Normal use is the average stress a saddle would normally expect to withstand while trail riding, doing ranch work (including holding but not jerking at the horn a 2,500 bull), pleasure riding, hunting, etc. This warranty does not cover professional or competition use, etc.

Q. How do I file for warranty claim?

A. Please provide some evidence such as pictures of the damage, small narrative of the issue etc.

Q. Who will decide?

A. Although we will make every effort to resolve the issue to our customers satisfaction, however J.C. Martin Co reserves the right to be the final arbiter of any resolution.

Q. What will you decide?

A. Depending on the situation, we can ask our customers to have the saddle repaired at their end but only once it has been determined by us that a warranty is applicable, or we can request you send it to us for repairs, or an exchange, again as the situation may be. We also reserve the right to REFUSE Warranty work if we determine that Warranty work is not applicable in a certain situation.

Q. How long will it take to resolve the issue?

A. It could be as quick as a day or two if the issue can be resolved at the buyer's end, or as long as 3 months if a specialty replacement part has to be ordered.

Q. How strong is the horn? saddle? tree?

A. The horn/saddle/tree are extremely well built and strong, we strengthen pressure points with rivets, steel screws, or double stitching where needed, everything is done to create a strong safe saddle, with comfort for the equine and rider as our final goal. Our saddles will comfortably  hold a 2,500 Bull all day, but is not designed for professional roping, where jerking is part of the equation. No, our horns are not designed to jerked by Bulls in a competition arena, but will work all day at a ranch. Accidents are not covered as in 'the saddle got run over by a pickup truck', or 'hit a steel cable at full gallop', yes the horn may pop off.

PLEASE NOTE: Consider this warranty as a peace of mind or a back up in case of a genuine issue, any misuse of our generous offer will not be tolerated. Refrain from misusing, or abusing the saddle simply because we offer this warranty, this Warranty strictly applies to the term normal usage in letter and spirit. We expect our buyers to maintain their saddle as per approved industry standards, and to fix or repair any minor issue on their own.

If, after inspection, we find that the product was defective in materials or workmanship, we shall repair or replace the product at our discretion. This warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, improper care or alteration and excludes claims for incidental or consequential loss.

Warranty does not cover minor decorative items like silver Conchos,  strings, or normal wear.

DISCLAIMER

All good materials eventually wear out with normal use. Therefore, we are not responsible for normal wear and tear, defects caused by accident, abuse, misuse, improper care, or alteration. All inquiries regarding this warranty and/or product returns should be addressed by email.

There are no other expressed warranties beyond the terms of this limited warranty. In no event shall J.C. Martin Saddle Co. be liable for incidental or consequential damages. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

Due to the nature of the sport J.C. Martin Saddle Co. will not be liable for any injury or death resulting from the use of its products.
